The renowned Sinfonietta Cracovia will conclude its October tour with a captivating performance at the Chassé Theater in the Dutch city of Breda on October 29. As one of Poland’s leading orchestras, Sinfonietta Cracovia invites audiences to experience the works of some of the 20th century’s most influential composers, offering a night of exceptional music.
A standout feature of this concert is the Dutch premiere of a new composition by the Polish-Dutch composer Hanna Kulenty. Commissioned by the Polish Embassy in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, this piece, written for string orchestra, trumpet, and bass trombone, commemorates the 80th anniversary of Breda’s liberation by the 1st Polish Armored Division under General Stanisław Maczek.
The concert marks the grand finale of Sinfonietta Cracovia’s tour and will be conducted by the orchestra’s principal conductor, Katarzyna Tomala-Jedynak.
This year, Sinfonietta Cracovia also celebrates its 30th anniversary. Over the past three decades, the orchestra has performed extensively across Europe, China, and the U.S., earning international acclaim.
