In a significant move for Armenia’s burgeoning film industry, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport has signed memoranda with Netflix to film several series in the country. During a parliamentary committee hearing on the 2025 state budget, Minister Zhanna Andreasyan highlighted the rapid development of the film sector, stating, “We have already signed memoranda with Netflix, which has plans for various filming projects here.”
She noted that these projects could gain momentum with the potential for partial investment returns, signaling a promising future for international collaborations. This partnership not only aims to enhance Armenia’s appeal as a filming location but also to showcase its unique landscapes and rich cultural heritage to a global audience.
