Wroclaw (Poland) the Best European Destination 2018

Wroclaw has been chosen the Best European Destination of 2018 by participants of Tourism Offices, community managers and 320, 793 voters. Wroclaw won with such such destinations as Amsterdam, Athens, Bilbao, Budapest, Lisbon, Milan, Paris, Prague, Vienna.

Wroclaw is one of the oldest Polish cities with 12 islands and more than 100 bridges, 14 parks, uncountable theatres, museums, galleries, and other cultural sites, the oldest restaurant in the world and the amazing Zoo established in 1865. In Wroclaw you can admire one of the most unique paintings in the world: Raclawice Panorama (in Polish: Panorama Raclawicka ) : The 140m-long canvas depicting the legendary General Tadeusz Kosciuszko’s  victory over the Russian forces at Racławice in 1794. Wroclaw is also a location of amazing dwarfs being a symbol of orange opposition against Communism. There are around 250 of them scattered around the city and you can  look for them during organized tours or individually with special maps.

Wroclaw was also a European Capital of Culture in 2016. Wroclaw is a city of amazing architecture. Ostrow Tumski, the Cathedral Island, unique sacred architecture, stems from the Middle Ages. In the city you can admire also splendid Gothic-Renaissance buildings.
