Warsaw on 80th anniversary global Monopoly board

Poland’s capital city of Warsaw has been added to the world’s most popular board game, Monopoly.  More than 100.000 internet voters have chosen Warsaw.

Warsaw won the 6th place and won with Amsterdam, London, Moscow and Sydney. Warsaw will have a special yellow place which stands for the one of the most expensive real estate locations.  Almost 4 million voters from 182 countries took part and they could chose out of 80 cities.  A total of 22 cities was chosen.

The first edition of Monopoly was released in 1935 during the Great Depression in the USA. Since then, it has sold over 200 million copies.
