As of May 15, 2025, more than 509,200 Polish citizens have registered to vote in the presidential elections abroad. This is a record number in the history of presidential elections in Poland, significantly surpassing previous figures: in 2020, around 374,000 people registered, and in 2015 and 2010, fewer than 200,000.
According to information from May 15, 2025, 37,000 Polish citizens have registered to vote in the Netherlands. This marks a significant increase compared to previous years: around 17,500 registered in 2020, and 15,802 in 2019.
The increase in registered voters reflects the growing engagement of the Polish diaspora in the Netherlands in the electoral process.
In the Netherlands, 13 electoral commissions have been established, located in cities such as Amsterdam, The Hague, Breda, Groningen, and Brunssum.
As of May 15, 2025, the highest number of registered voters abroad was recorded in the following countries:
- United Kingdom – 146,300
- Germany – 102,400
- United States – 44,100
- Netherlands – 33,000
- Spain – 25,200
- Norway – 24,000
- Ireland – 23,000
- Belgium – 19,800
- France – 19,100
- Italy – 15,700
It is also noteworthy that certain cities recorded especially high numbers of registered voters:
- London – 42,600
- Berlin – 14,400
- Munich – 12,400
- Dublin – 12,000
- The Hague – 11,400
- Brussels – 11,200
- Oslo – 11,000
- Amsterdam – 10,400
- Vienna – 10,200
- Breda – 9,800
The presidential election will be held on May 18, 2025, with a potential second round on June 1, 2025.
