Poland announces the State of Epidemic
The government has decided to extend the closure of schools, universities until Easter. The suspension of classes also applies to day care centers, children’s clubs, etc.
The penalty for breaking the quarantine was increased from 5,000. PLN up to 30 thousand PLN.
The Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki says that Poland may face 10,000 Corona patients. ”We are preparing for high numbers, for what awaits us” – emphasized Morawiecki.
”The state of the epidemic does not mean that Presidential elections will be postponed in Poland” – the prime minister added.
