‘’We are introducing a temporary ban on entry to Poland for foreigners’’ – said today Mateusz Morawiecki Polish prime minister.
This means that full controls at all Polish borders will be introduced at midnight on Saturday, the temporary restoration of borders will be introduced. All the borders that were the internal borders of the EU will be restored, first for 10 days with a possibility of 20, and later for another month – informed the Prime Minister of Poland Morawiecki.
International passenger air connections and also rail connections will be suspended. After crossing the border, Polish citizens will be directed to a 14-day quarantine.
The borders remain open to the flow of goods – declares the prime minister. – ‘’There are no reasons to think or fears that we will run out of food (…) we have very large surpluses’’ – emphasized the prime minister.
Grocery shops, pharmacies, banks, ATM’s will be working. The shopping mails opening possibilities will be limited.
All restaurants, pubs, clubs, bars and casinos are suspended. Restaurants, cafes can provide delivery services.
Meetings of up to 50 people can be held, above this number no, this applies to all places where people could gather – informs the prime minister.
The restriction applies to: marches, demonstrations, religious ceremonies and all assemblies related to the activities of central, local government and private institutions. – ‘’The restriction applies to all those places where people could gather and create danger for each other’’ said Morawiecki.
‘’I ask everyone, especially children and young people in the coming days, in the coming weeks – spend this time at home. Children and adolescents are carriers of the virus that spreads the fastest’’, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki appealed, adding that children and adolescents very often undergo Covid-19 disease in an asymptomatic manner, which may lead to a widespread pandemic.
