On April 7, Halo Polonia, a LIVE TV programme of the Polish Public TV, TVP Polonia broadcasting internationally devoted attention to the issue of buying agricultural land in Poland and the change of legal regulations in Poland.
The program was hosted by Ms Edyta Mikołajczak and the invited guests: Mr Piotr Kaszewiak, lawyer and Ms Beata Bruggeman-Sękowska: journalist, writer, founder of communications-unlimited.nl were invited to the LIVE discussion in the studio.
Mr Piotr Kaszewiak discussed the changes of legal regulations in Poland concerning buying land in Poland.
Ms Beata Bruggeman-Sękowska presented questions and doubts Polish people with the double nationality have about buying land in Poland.
The new law will be introduced at the beginning of May and introduces several requirements for those who intend to buy agricultural land in Poland.
In order to be entitled to buy in Poland you have to
- have the right education in this field
- cultivate the land yourself
- have lived in the region where you intend to buy the land for at least 5 years
