The National Festival of Polish Song in Opole has just started

 

The National Festival of Polish Song in Opole (Krajowy Festiwal Piosenki Polskiej w Opolu, KFPP) is an annual music festival in Opole established in 1963. It is one of the most famous and important music film festivals together with Sopot Festival in Poland. It takes place in June. It has just started and will last till June 5. On June 6 there will be additionally a concert devoted to alternative artists. The festival takes place at the Millennium Amphitheatre (Amfiteatr Tysiąclecia), which was opened in June 1963. The amphitheatre was built on the initiative of Opole’s mayor, Karol Musioł, and designed by the architect Florian Jesionowski.
