European Film Festival
The Representation of the European Commission in the Netherlands and the European Parliament Information office in the Netherlands will organise the European Film Festival, in collaboration with many other partners. During the Festival the organisers wish to draw attention to a number of European films and to demonstrate that Europe is more than just politics or the economy. Over 30 films will be screened in seven cities in the Netherlands. Both big and small films from all over Europe will be displayed in different “filmhuizen”, but also on location at various partners. A number of directors and actors will be present at “their” film. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the European Commission’s (Creative Europe) MEDIA programme, so mostly films will be selected that received support under this programme. The main objective of MEDIA is to promote the cultural and audio-visual sectors. More information on the European Film Festival will be available shortly on www.eu.nl.
