Commemoration of the Liberation of Hungarian pastors by Michiel de Ruyter

 

The annual commemoration of the liberation of Hungarian pastors by Dutch Admiral Michiel Adriaenszoon de Ruyter was opened by the De Ruyter foundation’s president Frits de Ruyter de Wildt and Ambassador Kocsis on Saturday 17 February. The event included a lecture by Jan Nuboer on the Hungarian city Debrecen, a wreath laying ceremony and a visit to De Ruyter’s crypt in De Nieuwe Kerk. The program was supported by the Embassy of Hungary.
