On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders sent a congratulation letter to his Georgian counterpart, Mikheil Janelidze.
In his letter, Bert Koenders pays special attention to the importance of fruitful cooperation between the two countries, which has acquired new dimensions over the years, including within a number of international organisations, through the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package and trade missions.
The Netherlands is committed to further strengthening the ties between the European Union and Georgia. Granting visa liberalization to Georgia, in this context, is a landmark agreement.
The Dutch Foreign Minister also highlights the importance of deepening a political dialogue between Georgia and the EU writing that the Eastern Partnership Summit in November will be an excellent occasion to take stock and shape plans for the future.
