On Body and Soul (Hungarian: Testről és lélekről) is a 2017 Hungarian drama film written and directed by Ildikó Enyedi.
It depicts a love story between a handicapped older man Endre and an Asperger woman Mária. Both of them work in a – a slaughterhouse. Endre is the CFO and Mária is the precise quality inspector. They have the same dream: They meet as deer in the forest. They realize this during an investigation when a psychologist interrogates everybody at the company where they work. They are searching for the love that they have found as deer in their dreams, but it is more difficult in real life.

Ildikó Enyedi has received more than 40 international awards for her work. Her film My 20th Century was chosen as one of the best 12 Hungarian films of all time. She is a founding member of the European Cross Media Academy and a member of the European Film Academy.
On Body and Sould It won the Golden Bear in the main competition section of the 67th Berlin International Film Festival. At Berlin it also won the FIPRESCI Prize and the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury. It won Golden Frog at Camerimage, Audience Choice Award at the Mumbai Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival in the category best film.

This year record number of 92 films have been submitted for consideration in this year’s foreign-language Oscar race.
Among the first-time entrants are Haiti, Honduras, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Mozambique, Senegal, and Syria.
Final final five nominations in the category Best Foreign Film will be announced on January 23. The Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 4 2018 and will be broadcast live to more than 225 countries.
