To be professionally informed about Coronavirus/ Covid-19 situation in the Netherlands and the relevant regulations it is of prime importance to follow the official information sources.
The Dutch government prepared a Coronavirus Dashboard where you can find latest, relevant and detailed information about Covid-19 in the Netherlands. You can follow here the latest developments divided into the following sections: on a national level, in the safety regions and on the level of municipalities.
As far as safety regions are concerned: each week the development of coronavirus is assessed jointly by central government, the municipal health services (GGDs), the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and the safety regions. The Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport then determines which risk level applies to each region: ‘caution’ (level 1), is the situation one of ‘concern’ (level 2) or is the situation ‘serious’ (level 3) or even ‘severe’ (level 4). Read more here.
In the section concerning municipalities you can find more information about the average number of infections, number of confirmed cases and progression over time. Read more here. On the left you can choose the municipality you are interested in.
