Maastricht TV-RTV Maastricht- wants to make the international community in Maastricht feel more at home. They intend to translate the local news into English and even create TV and radio programmes for expats and by them. Therefore they are looking for volunteers: English speaking expats and students to help them with their new plan.
Francois Lenaerts, director of Maastricht TV told us that from the democratic perspective everybody should be given a chance to be provided with the same information and to be involved in the society.
Maastricht has always been an international town and especially now thanks to the University of Maastricht, Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, Maastricht School of Management, University World College a lot of non-Dutch speaking students are brought to this beautiful city.
